In addition to being an artist I am a former breast cancer patient and work part-time as the Administrator for Nottingham Breast Cancer Research Centre (NBCRC). Bringing together these skills and experiences I have organised of a group exhibition entitled Breast Cancer & Me which will be open to the public at the Angear Visitor Centre, Lakeside Arts, Nottingham from 8-30 October 2022. As well as curating the show, I have a collection of artists books on display which document my own experiences of diagnosis and treatment. My story is brought more up to date with a painting made in response to breast cancer research carried out at NBCRC.
