ARTIST BIO

Carol Pairaudeau
My mixed media paintings reflect my interest in both the painted and printed mark, with layers of handprinted papers incorporated into the finished piece. My creative enquiry is driven by the consideration of shapes, colours, texture and pattern and how these components can be combined to explore my response to a place, an idea or a theme.

Art is my second career and I was awarded a BA (Fine Art) and an MA (Art & Design) from Loughborough University after studying as a mature student. In addition to developing my own practice I enjoy sharing my knowledge and enthusiasm with others and offer printmaking tuition and workshops. I am a member of Leicester Society of Artists and also Leicester Print Workshop.
